Race For Life - 16 May 2010 |
18th May 2010 |
On Sunday 16th May 2010 a few of the Meyer-Scott crew successfully took part in Race For Life in Stamford running 5 kilometre, thus raising money for Cancer Research UK.
Race for Life was conceived specifically for raising awareness of women’s cancers. The first Race for Life event took place in 1994 when 680 participants in a race to Battersea Park, London and raised £36,000. Race for Life has subsequently grown to become on the UK’s largest fundraising events, which in 2006 involved 240 races and 750,0000 participants and raised £46 million. Since its inception, Race for Life has raised over £240 million for the charity.
We very much wish to thank all those who helped us raise money for this important cause.
