Credit Controller Peterborough Permanent - £21,000 - £25,000 pa
An excellent business offering an opportunity to join their commercial finance team. Viewed very much as high profile when it comes to looking after their staff and embracing social responsibilities such as sustainability, diversity, inclusiveness and recycling within the Agricultural sector.

They are currently looking for an experienced hands on Credit Controller to undertake this challenging but rewarding role.
Duties:
To perform assigned Credit Control responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. Contribute to achievement of individual, department and Company credit control performance and quality standards. Credit Collection Chase customers by telephone, email and letter. Monitor collections list, contacting late-paying customers for assigned ledger(s). Place stop on accounts, as necessary, in accordance with policy. Arrange collection of cheques as necessary Perform credit reference checks as necessary Perform regular credit limit assessments of accounts to ensure limits are not exceeded Maintain credit assessment information, as necessary, for reporting purposes Apply bad debt write-offs where necessary, in accordance with defined operating procedures Query Handling and Resolution Respond promptly to queries from sales staff and external customers, ensuring queries are logged and escalated as appropriate Regularly inform all interested internal parties as to the status of outstanding queries and work to get closure as quickly as possible Contribute to credit control process improvement initiatives as required Achieve defined personal, department and company performance objectives as defined by the credit manager.
Essential At least 5 years experience of credit control within a B2B and diverse organisation Experience of liaising with customers and resolving queries directly with the appropriate internal departments and the customers themselves Strong but persuasive personality. Self starter Can work to tight deadlines in target driven environment. Strong IT skills including competent level of Excel and Word.
Preferred Experience of negotiating repayment plans with B2B customers in financial difficulties. Experience of working in a high risk sales driven environment.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.30am 5pm.
