Cambourne – Will involve some field based site visits
Mon – Fri, 35 hours – Flexi Time Available
Working within a busy Public Sector team this role will require the Post Holder to:
• Assess homeless applications – including investigations, assessment of the Council’s statutory duties, decision letters.
• Arranging temporary accommodation – referring to temporary accommodation or arranging B&B placements.
• Preventing homelessness – including advice and assistance, money advice referrals, private rent placements, advising on the housing register and lettings policy
• Working with partner agencies – investigations, preventing homelessness, assessing needs, referring for support, following protocols and safeguarding.
The successful candidate will have proven expereince in a Housing related environment and customer facing role. Experience of Housing advice and Homelessness is essential.
