Our client, an established firm of Chartered Surveyors in Peterborough is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. The Accounts Assistant will
be responsible for ledger inputting for both Company and Property Management accounts as well as a variety of other duties listed as follows;
• Maintaining Sales Ledger (Property Management and Company) • Inputting of Sales Invoices • Posting and allocating receipts • Sending out statements • Credit Control • Maintaining Purchase Ledger (Property Management and Company) • Inputting of Purchase ledger invoices • Coding and allocating to correct cost centre • Monthly and adhoc payments • Cashbook • Posting of payments and receipts • Bank reconciliations • Preparing all expenditure invoices for approval, coding expenditure to the correct heading and fund. • Posting all expenditure on to the purchase ledger. • Working out and posting tenant electricity apportionments. • Preparing and running payment runs on a monthly basis, utility invoices on a weekly basis. • Checking supplier statements and resolving any queries that may arise.
• Answering telephone • Filing - working towards paperless office. • Dealing with adhoc queries either by phone or e-mail.
Experience of Sage 200 is desirable, in addition to Excel, Word, Office 365, QUBE Property Management and Virtual Cabinet.
You must have exceptional attention to detail skills and work well within a team and unsupervised using your own initiative.
A background within a Chartered Surveyors would be an advantage.
Hours Monday to Friday; 9am-5:30pm
