Job Purpose:
To be responsible for managing and motivating a team and associated projects to ensure effective delivery of customer focussed services, on time and within budget.
General Responsibilities
The jobholder will predominately work either in City Homes, Sheltered & Supported Housing or Housing Advice however according to service needs the jobholder is required to cover at any other location in the service of the Council as required.
1. Manage complex housing management problems and developing solutions to these problems by liaising with different sections and departments of the Council and external agencies. 2. Investigate and resolve complex customer complaints and responding to enquiries. 3. Team supervision. 4. Build relationships with other specialist services including both statutory and non-statutory services to provide support as required. 5. Provide support, guidance and specialist advice to the Customer Service Team on all aspects of housing and tenancy management. 6. Arrange multi- agency meetings as needed to identify shared solutions to problematic tenancy issues. 7. Work with agencies to develop positive links with both local health and social services across the City and other housing providers. 8. Report as required, on services within the neighbourhood to management teams etc. 9. Advise customers of the Council’s policies, procedures and practices. 10. Participate in fundamental service reviews and continuous improvement programmes. 11. Control expenditure to ensure that financial targets are achieved.
