Technical/Engineering Recruitment Consultant - Perms £22,000 - £28,000 Basic Salary + Bonuses
As we are a small independent 2 branch agency joining a small team of Consultants across both branches. You will be responsible for the entire recruitment process - from winning the business to placing the candidate and beyond.
For some time a number of opportunities to working the Engineering and Technical division on either a permanent or temporary recruitment desk have arisen in the Cambridgeshire Region.
Working out of St Ives and/or Peterborough Branch a key component of the role is sales both face to face and over the telephone. Very much an established desk so working with a warm client base delivering a quick response to their needs - 50% account handling 50% sales.
You will need an Engineering Technical sales background enabling you to hit the ground running. The jobs are there they simply need conversation.
Armed with all the tools, resources, back office support and training you would expect from a large corporate firm, you will have no issues in sourcing the best candidates nor will you struggle to get the marketing coverage you need for opportunities you have available on your desk - once you have completed the Meyer-Scott way of doing things in terms of process you will have your desk will give you the same satisfaction of running your own business without the risk!
Predominately servicing existing key accounts requiring permanent and temporary staff.
Developing new business as well as account management the split is very much 50/50.
• Interviewing of candidates face to face and over the telephone.
• Composing full and concise job descriptions and placing these on websites.
• Search & Selection of potential candidates via online job boards and our CRM system. We do have a full time effective Resourcer on hand to assist you.
• Sourcing new candidates and evaluating their suitability for the role, both over the telephone and at face-to-face interviews.
• Attending key client account review meetings.
• Updating CRM system
• On-site visits with client businesses in order to build a rapport is an essential part of the role.
• Taking detailed job briefs from the clients.
• Briefing suitable candidates and forwarding details to client.
• Instructing Administrator on how you wish the CV to be presented. .
• Filtering all interview feedback to both clients and candidates
• Negotiating start dates and salaries when applicable.
• Following Meyer-Scott Recruitment policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety would of course be advantageous.
What we require from you:
Must be computer literate with regards to an intermediate knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word
Your own transport is essential.
Engineering, Recruitment or Engineering Sales background is key.
Engineering qualifications would be advantageous but not essential for this role.

Basic Salary:
£22K - £28Kp.a. Plus generous paid bonuses. 8.30am 5.30pm.
