Due to expansion our client an independent accountancy firm offering taxation services in Peterborough and the surrounding areas are seeking a part time Accountant.
The primary role will be to assist and support in their busy accounts team for a wide range of limited companies, many of which have tight reporting deadlines. The role also includes significant accounting work.
MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS PRACTICE BACKGROUND
Duties will include:
• Reviewing and supervising PAYE, CIS, Auto enrolment and VAT
• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies
• Regular Management Accounts and growth strategies
• Performing the quality control review of the accounts jobs
• Preparation of taxation computations
• Acting as assistance to team leader on assignments
• Complete staff assignments where responsible for reviewing the work of others
• One off assignments, under the direction of Managing Director
• Fulfilling your marketing responsibility in the way you deal with clients
• The role will involve providing accounting services alongside other responsibilities increasing with progression.
• The role involves working closely with clients whilst reporting to the managing director or directly to Portfolio holders.
Skills and Experience:
• Familiar with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS’s)
• Strong numeracy and literacy are required along with interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for a career in accountancy.
• The ideal candidate will be part qualified with experience of audit and familiar with paperless audit systems.
• Good communication and team playing skills are essential.
