Engineering Supervisor - Permanent - £25,000 - £30,000 – Peterborough
Our client is seeking to recruit an Engineering Supervisor who will be responsible for day-to-day management and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure works and the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, quality and performance in accordance with the companies Policy and our Client Contract requirements.
You must come from a telecoms background.
Responsibilities:
• General site supervision, including ensuring completion of records as required by field based teams
• Ensuring full site health, safety and environmental compliance and that all personnel adhere to safe working practices inline with company and client policy
• Manage and resolve all Health and Safety issues on site, completion of H&S inspection records
• Corresponding with Project Manager and Client and other colleagues to monitor works progress and inform of problems and resolutions
• To ensure all works comply with relevant environmental legislation and that recycling takes place whenever possible
• Identifying productivity and performance issues and driving productivity improvements
• Supervision of field based workforce and Supply Chain Partners
• Any other suitable duty requested inline with the nature of the contract
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience of Utilities / Highways or Telecommunications works projects
• Preferable to hold a valid Supervisors NRSWA card
• Experience in Highways / Utilities / Civils work at a supervisory level
• Basic Commercial awareness
• Full UK driving license
• Have reasonable written and numerical skills
• IT skills competent
• To be a good communicator and to be able to pass on skills
• To be a good self-organiser and organiser of others
• To be assertive, diplomatic and patient
• Self motivating and a good motivator of the labour force
• Generally to be willing, helpful, enthusiastic and flexible
