A market leading FMCG business is seeking an Operations Manager to be a part of their management team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced and rapidly expanding business. The Operations Manager will be partnering closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the candidate will be responsible for all areas of manufacturing, stock control, customer deliveries and cost control.
The Operations Manager must be well organised, and have previous relevant experience within the FMCG sector.
A salary commensurate with experience is available.
Responsibilities will include:
Working closely with a small but growing team to advance the strategic direction of the business, including project involvement, presentations, and frequent communication. Plan, organise, and direct all aspects of the manufacturing, maintenance, scheduling, and purchasing operations. Manage spending against budget in relation to the seasonal nature of the business, and other changes in production volumes. Manage operations expenses in line with financial commitments to management. Accurately estimate spend on purchases and monitor expenses regularly to ensure compliance with budget. Effectively communicate budget status to management, and identifies solutions to any potential variance. Identify opportunities to improve costs and delivery times and deliver on commitments. Forecast operational costs/variances and inventories versus the sales plan and ensure financial commitments are delivered. Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports the companys strategic objectives. Work with other departments on new product development processes. Scale up the production once the new product specs are signed off for mass production. Ensure regulatory compliance Other duties as assigned.
