To provide administrative assistance/support to the Occupational Health Centre
JOB DUTIES:
To support the Occupational Health Advisor with the day to day running of the department and arranging medical appointments
To provide general information to personnel and internal/external customers in relation to Company policy and procedure relating to occupational health practices
• Carry out Spiro hearing tests in the absence of the Occupational Health Advisor • To maintain all Peterlee employee sickness records including auditing accuracy and processing timely changes to information. • Arrange doctor’s appointments, write to employees inviting them to doctor’s appointments and updating the sickness log • Type up doctors reports and send to HR Advisors • Filing all documents that are generated by the occupational health department • Ensure that all Occupational Health mail is collected from the post-room and distributed and that outgoing post is taken to post-room and stamped on a daily basis • Order medical supplies • Undertake and ad hoc administrative duties as requested by the Occupational Health Advisor.
The list is just some of the duties you will be expect to help out where needed. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
5 years administration experience (preferably within an Occupational Health department). Excellent presentation and communication skills. Must be self-motivated, flexible, able to work alone and in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times
