Key Responsibilities
We have a position within the Global Supply Network Division based at Desford which will report to the UK Customer Services Supervisor.
Working within a Product focused team the Outbound Material Planner has the following major responsibilities:-
Initiate, co-ordinate and participate in activities to ensure accurate customer requirements are received to enable shipment planning Validate and format the customer demand files for input into MRP using Microsoft Excel Provide bi-weekly shipment volume forecasting to the Operations team to enable proactive resource planning Ensure that material picking requirements are planned with the Operations team to achieve the expected shipping dates Validate shipment accuracy to ensure we meet customer expectations, communicate any changes or shortages in a timely manner Maintain data accuracy in corporate MRC system for collaborating with customer Coordinate with the customers transport providers to ensure that deliveries take place on the correct date. Create and issue shipment packing lists, certifications and invoices as required Perform all tasks to Caterpillar Production System & 6 Sigma levels of performance Support and participate in process improvement projects as required

Skills and Experience Required
Essential: Previous experience of working within a customer facing role. Supplier and/or customer Management Experience Excellent Interpersonal Skills Excellent Microsoft skills, specifically Excel Self Motivated with Excellent Attention to detail Excellent time keeping
Desirable: Experience within a Manufacturing environment Knowledge on Glovia Microsoft Access database French, German or Italian speaking
