  Our Client is a successful manufacturing company in Bar Hill. This opportunity has arisen as a result of internal promotions. Duties will include:
  •	Managing people and performance within Stores and Inspection Departments •	Ensuring a professional and consistent approach is taken and that quality standards are upheld and targets are met and exceeded •	Working as part of the Logistics department to participate in and promote collaborative working, by managing conflicting agendas for the benefit of the Operations and the business as a whole •	To ensure Stores and Inspection departments are working in-line with policy of continual Improvement •	To ensure Stores and Inspection departments meets requirements for ISO standards  •	To provide a monthly management report including trend analysis  •	To develop and maintain a high level of multi skilling, where all Stores assistants can carry out all tasks with minimal supervision. •	To promote a team culture, limiting separation between functions •	Working with quality functions within Logistics department and operations as a whole. Develop and maintain appropriate databases for reporting and continual improvement •	Looking to better focus the Inspection team, reviewing their processes and eliminating waste where possible. This could include proposing changes to the overall inspection process if deemed necessary •	Reviewing the Inspection reporting tools, working with Supplier Quality (as they work with the same data), with a view to maintaining or improving content whilst significantly reducing the time required to retrieve data and create reports •	Assisting the inspection team in getting key issues escalated to decision makers •	Highlighting and taking ownership of business issues with a view to improving working practices and day-to-day functions within the business •	Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies with a view to understanding the current stock position as well as correcting any underlying causes in line with PI process
  Person Specification:
 
  •	Previous experience as a Stores Manager in a manufacturing environment •	Experience of managing, leading and motivating teams •	Time management & priority setting  •	Excellent communication skills •	An appreciation of basic technical terminology •	Good understanding of Microsoft Office  •	Positive attitude to change •	Problem solving ability •	Appreciation of the bigger picture within an operations environment  •	Knowledge of stores processes •	Excellent planning and organisation skills
