The Position of Senior Account Manager is to manage the house sales team to optimize and grow existing accounts. The role will require developing business across key areas of local Authorities, Housing Associations, NHS, Education and commercial organizations.
Recently under new inspiring management this company certainly has plans and is going places.It already has some enviable accounts would just need concerted efforts in penetration via good old fashioned relationship building!
Whilst you will be a Team Leader of 2 persons, your team are very experienced and would simply need a light touch in terms of structuring, team motivation and interrogating systems and processes. Your key efforts will be spent managing and penetrating existing Key Accounts which need to be well serviced with the effect of improving business levels. Having said that a comfort level of calling new business would certainly be of benefit if you are to pursue a career with this company.
This is a permanent position, starting initially covering 1 year Maternity Leave cover before moving across to other parts of the business giving you the opportunity to cultivate product and process knowledge.
Duties include:
· Develop and optimise profit and growth within existing key accounts ensuring a consistent and professional level of customer service. · Secure additional works via telephone cold calling and face to face offering expert advice and solutions to existing clients. · Work with other department managers, such as Planning to ensure an understanding and the successful execution of contracts of time and within budget. · Undertake the department training ensuring that all staff have been given efficiently, regular staffing reviews, reviewing employee motivation and morale. · Responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others at all times. · It is very important that you are familiar with working to targets, client SLAs and KPIs. These are in place due to H&S and also contractual obligations.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales accounts preferred. You will probably need to be familiar with low value, high volume fast moving industry (Not Food Industry).
