Our client are a large manufacturing company based in St.Neots are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting to the financial controller the duties in this role will consist of the below:
General Responsibilities:
• Sales Ledger - Processing sales invoices and credit notes (including filing of PoDs). • Sales Invoicing of Origination. Ensuring all origination is invoiced to the customer in a timely manner. Posting of customer remittances to System. • Costing/Stock. • Management Information. • Balance sheet reconciliations; esp stock valuation. • Admin.
Specific Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger
• Ensuring all sales invoices and credit notes are processed in a timely manner. All invoice despatches should be supported by Proof of delivery (PoD). • To maintain spreadsheets for Origination; taking information from supplier invoices and order acknowledgments from the sales office. To ensure all invoices for origination are processed on at least a bi-weekly basis. • To file all invoices and PoDs. Where PoDs are missing/unavailable to liaise with relevant department for retrieval.
Costings/Stock
• To be responsible for maintaining calculations for machine rates, labour rates, etc. • Responsible for maintaining robust system of cost estimates to ensure estimates are accurate. • Responsible for WIP valuation and audit of FG and RM valuations. • The above to be signed off by Financial Controller.
Management Information / Balance Sheet reconciliations:
• Data management / data cleansing. • To assist the financial controller with meaningful management information as required. • To produce weekly reporting of debtors and creditors as required. • To produce daily key indicators and forecast of daily sales. • Balance sheet reconciliations; esp stock.
Key skills:
• CIMA/ACCA - newly qualified/finalist. • Good working knowledge of Excel. • As the role will provide access to company sensitive information, discretion and safeguarding data/information is essential. • A good sense of commerciality.
