Peterborough Recruitment Consultant (Temporaries Desk)
As we are a small independent 2 branch agency.You will be responsible for the entire recruitment process - from winning the business to placing the candidate and beyond.
A key component of the role is sales both face to face and over the telephone.
If you do not thrive within a selling environment this position probably isn’t for you. We work in a competitive market persuading the client to use Meyer-Scott as opposed to another agency. With regard to filling those requirements we don’t twist people arms believing that square pegs in round holes isn’t the way to go, instead always looking for a comfortable fit between the candidate and the post. The job of a Recruitment Consultant has its highs and lows, it is both rewarding and stressful in equal measure but never boring.
Meyer-Scott are a flexible company who look after their staff very well, a place where the Directors believe in giving the Consultants the tools to do the job. The desk will be your own little business, and if successful, you’ll receive little interference from us but plenty of support and remuneration.
Whilst we are not a multinational that does not mean that we don’t stay ahead of the curb. We work using a very sophisticated CRM and SMS software enabling you to reach the maximum number of candidates in the shortest amount of time, we also have access to the top job boards.
Predominately servicing existing key accounts requiring temporary and Temporary to Permanent personnel within the office & supply chain personnel and finance sector.
• Developing new business from cold as well as luke warm clients in the Peterborough area using our CRM database.
• Face to face interviewing of candidates as well as over the telephone screening.
• Composing full and concise job descriptions and placing these on websites.
• Search & Selection of potential candidates via online job boards and our CRM system.
• Sourcing new candidates and evaluating their suitability for the role, both over the telephone and at face-to-face interviews.
• Attending key client account review meetings.
• Updating database/spreadsheets
• On-site visits with client businesses.
• Taking detailed job briefs from the clients.
• Briefing suitable candidates and forwarding details to client.
• Preparing CVs when Administrator unable to assist.
• Where necessary support Administrator is placing opportunities on the websites etc.
• Filtering all interview feedback to both clients and candidates
• Negotiating start dates and salaries when applicable.
• Regular visiting of existing clients where permitted.
• Following Meyer-Scott Recruitment policies and procedures.
Basic Salary:
£20,000 - £30,000 dependent upon previous local recruitment experience plus generous bonuses. Bonuses is % of net profit paid every month for the previous month. 8.30am - 5.30pm 28 days holiday plus the usual Christmas shut down which we don’t guarantee but can’t remember not shutting down! We give an extra days holiday for every completed year up to 5 years.
