Initially a temporary 3 month contract which may be extended.
£30,000p.a. - £35,000 p.a.
Our client are looking for a temporary Buyer to join the team at TRB for a period of three months guaranteed however due to the nature of the project this could be extended. You would ideally be able to start January 2017.
This is a hands-on role for a large aerospace manufacturing project, where you will play a key role in the sourcing and management of free-issue goods and machining services. Reporting to both a Project Manager and the Supply Chain Manager, the role will ensure that the appropriate suppliers are identified to meet specific requirements.
Key Requirements:
Able to work in a project driven environment
Extensive experience in sourcing sub-con machining processes (3 and 5 axis machining)
Supplier contract negotiations, implementation and contract management
To control the flow of materials, both purchased and free-issued from supplier and customer, through to free issuing part processed assemblies from production to sub-con machinists to a defined schedule
Experience in manufacturing software package and spreadsheets 6. Experience in BOM creation, works order management and understanding the overall flow of a manufacturing programme
Ability to read technical drawings (critical to role)
Management of supplier purchase orders from creation to invoice
You will be exceptionally well-organized and have great time-management skills
Have a real eye for detail
Have the ability to challenge in and outside of the organization to resolve issues
Thrive under pressure with a can-do attitude
Be a first-class communicator Have a minimum three years experience in a similar role
You will have a relevant qualification, degree ideally and come from an engineering, hopefully an aerospace background.
