Due to a member of staff relocating, our client are currently looking for an experienced and motivated candidate who will work as an eCommerce Sales Administrator and provide effective support to the internal and external teams.
What does the role involve? The successful candidate will be required to process sale orders, quotations and telephone calls from small to large contractors requiring building material as well as Joe Public whilst supporting all areas and aspects of the departments daily activities. You will offer sales and technical support to customers, however you will of course build your knowledge as you go along.
Orders will be received in many ways including via their website. Where the stock is limited or unavailable, you will be expected to use your persuasive skills to reach out to the branch network in order to check the stock levels and ascertain whether they can allocate you some stock. There are occasions when you will need to pass the order over which can result in delivery cost increase which needs to be negotiated with the client. You need to be able to manage tricky situations. You will be establishing and maintaining efficient relationships with internal branches and customers to maintain the smooth running of orders and deliveries on a daily basis. As the point of contact working within a small team you will need to establish good relationships with the UK Branch network which requires diplomacy, good persuasive skills and sense of humour!
About You? The successful candidate will be well organized and able to multitask whilst working in a fast paced environment. It is imperative that you can spin plates and have a bit about you in terms of a sense of humour. To apply, candidates should have good data accuracy and attention to detail with good level of numeracy and IT skills. Previous internal sales support experience, purchasing / sales order processing experience would be desirable, as would GCSE Mathematics and English. If you have a flair for customer service, good IT skills and are looking for somewhere to enhance your career, this role is ideal!
Hours: 9am - 5pm, however whilst you are training you will be working with your colleague 8am - 4pm.
