Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Credit Control Administrator reporting to the Finance Manager.
Duties
• Responsible for opening, monitoring and maintaining customer accounts. • Overseeing invoices payable to the company and any administration involved in this ensuring a high level of service is offered to customers and colleagues. • Set up and maintain customer accounts as directed by the Free Trade or National Sales teams, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and issued. • Carry out credit checks and notify relevant personnel of any changes or problems relating to customer accounts and its conditions. • Daily processing of invoices, credit notes, delivery notes and sales daybooks. • Prepare cash bags daily for collection of payments. • Accurate and timely processing of all customer payments including Direct Debit collection, cash/cheque, PDQ and BACS payments. • Bank and reconcile cash, cheques and PDQ payments in relevant bank accounts. Prepare banking and complete relevant paperwork for collection on specified dates. • Check and replenish all departmental Petty Cash tins as required. • Chase payment of overdue invoices by telephone, email and/or letter within the agreed timescales. Send out statements of customer accounts on a monthly basis. • Run, check and distribute Aged Debtors and all monthly reports required to relevant personnel. • Attend monthly Credit Control meetings with relevant Sales personnel. • Take notes of action agreed and distribute out via email after meeting. Ensure all actions on notes assigned to you are completed in a timely manner. • Carryout month end procedures and ensure all monthly processing deadlines are met. • Communicate any Credit Control and Finance issues to the Finance Manager. • Deal with customer queries in a prompt and professional manner. • Provide cover for other accounting functions as requested. • Any other duties as requested by the Finance Manager or any other person designated in their absence. • Maintain a good, positive working relationship within the production department and throughout the company.
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 4pm (39 per week including breaks).
