Our client is looking for an experienced PAT Tester to join their busy team assisting in the repair and testing of electrical items. The right candidate will have an opportunity to earn bonuses on top of their basic salary. Appointments will be feed through and you will need to use your good customer service skills on site in order to carry out the work and quickly and expediently as possible enabling you to move onto your next call. The ability to effectively organizing your working week will be paramount.
You will live in one of these towns: Hatfield, WGC, Stevenage, Baldock, Letchworth, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Grantham, Newark, Retford, Doncaster, Leeds, Harrogate, York, Ripon, Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The duties of the role consist of the below:
Test Electrical items in line with procedures.
Compiling reports on the condition of electrical items.
Carrying out visual inspections on items.
Carry out electrical testing to ensure each item is safe to use.
Carry out fuse changes, plug replacements and re terminations where necessary.
Complete and submit paperwork as agreed.
Manage appliance testing in accordance with health and safety requirements.
NB: The successful candidate will hold a qualification in portable appliance testing.
Interviews will be held over the telephone.
Due to the nature of the work it would be advantageous for you to have your own transport as not all locations will be accessible via public transport. Staying allowance would be paid.
Office Hours: 09:00 – 17:30
