Our client are leading machinery manufacturers based in Peterborough and require a Purchaser to meet their growing business needs.
Duties will include:
• Extensive use of company ERP system
• Managing tendering process. Reviewing supplier pricing, quality and delivery performance and making constructive buying decisions
• Negotiating pricing / payment terms
• Sourcing new suppliers in order to complement and expand the existing supply base
• Preparing Purchase Orders for goods and services
• Maintaining accurate part records (price, lead times etc.)
• Understanding of engineering drawings is an advantage
• Creating and monitoring supplier KPIs that help to improve performance
• Expediting Purchase Orders to ensure complete and on time delivery
• Administering consignment stocks
• Administering free issue stock where required
Hours: 8.30am - 16.45pm Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 16.15pm Friday
Lunch Break: 45 mins
Holidays: 21 days holiday + 3 days at Christmas + bank holidays
