The Company wishes to appoint a further Supplier Account Manager to compliment the existing team to further improve the relationships with suppliers. They have already proven that supplier engagement leads to better continuity of competitive prices and service to customers.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will need to have a proven track record in both account management and sales.
The Role
• Promoting the benefits of the Company to existing and prospective suppliers. • Ensuring proactive supplier engagement to improve customer pricing and service. • Collecting supplier feedback and market intelligence and reporting this back to the business. • Work closely with the Head of Sales and other members of the Supplier Account Management ream to ensure that we have competitive prices and service driven products for the online customer.
Key Responsibilities
• Work towards company annual targets without comprising the excellent reputation that the brand has become known for. • Daily analysis of national, regional and localised prices with a view to effectively lowering them in areas where conversion rates are lower than average. • Monitor the delivery options available on our website to ensure that customers have, at all times, a range of products that ensure maximum conversation from quote to quote order and tailor this to the rime of the year and during periods of peak demand. • Train, develop and support the Suppliers who may have daily pricing queries. Introduce and train new users on the Suppliers Admin Panel to ensure continual engagement and the best possible prices in order for them to win volume.
The Candidate, you will need to have:
• A confident communicator with excellent negotiating skills, you will need to have a natural ability to think outside the box when dealing with a multitude of personalities. Further, you will need to be able to think on your own feet whilst always remaining positive when dealing with supplier objections. • Have excellent communication and presentation skills. • Be skilled in objection handling. • A high degree of self-motivation and drive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
