Aftermarket Sales Engineer – Permanent – Peterborough - £22,000 - £25,000 pa + Bonus
To provide technical advice to promote our products and services to increase turnover and profit margins to both existing and new business for the company. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximising client potential in designated regions Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education Working on after-sales support services and providing technical back up as required Analysing costs and sales Keeping customer records Meeting sales targets Attending sales courses to improve on existing skills and learning new ones Keep up to date with Product knowledge and Developments Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts The list of duties and responsibilities outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks, which may be performed by an employee whose position has been matched to this generic job description; Employee Profile for Aftermarket Sales Engineer Criteria Essential Desirable Physical Attributes e.g. Appearance, health Smart, well presented, Attainments e.g. Qualifications, experience, training • Previous experience within the service engineering sector/ environment • Computer literate and experience with MS Office, Excel • Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering experience • Relevant technical qualification. • Previous experience on working with Air Compressors • Experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment.
