Commercial Account Executive - Event Sales - Peterborough - £18,500 - £25,000 pa plus Bonus - OTE - £40k



To work with the teams to manage commercial relationships and generate revenue targets across our portfolio of events projects within the public transportation sector - as well as contributing to new project development.

Will consider someone on a part time basis.

Education & Qualifications
Good level of education.
Relevant qualifications and sales experience.

Expertise
Solid understanding of both telephone sales and face-to-face client management.
Strong commercial focus and ability to generate and match sales leads.
Ability to write and communicate in clear English. Foreign language skills (German or French) beneficial, but not essential.
Good working knowledge of all MS Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Familiarity with client management systems and reporting.
Knowledge of transport industry preferable, but not essential.
Experience in writing concise and compelling sales proposals.
Strong self-motivator.



Human relations skills
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Ability to work closely, communicate clearly and succinctly and build successful relationships with colleagues and customers.


A strong team player.
Enthusiastic, adaptable and able to work to deadlines and targets.
Ability to identify and capitalise on sales opportunities by both client and project, relying on broad experience rather than specific precedents.
Good understanding of the drivers for clients commercial spend, and work with them to develop solutions that meet client needs.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Freedom to act on own initiative within broad policies set by the Directors and agreed within the management team.
No initial man-management necessary. A small budget will be available for client development expenses.

KEY DUTIES
Develop an excellent and ongoing relationship with existing and potential new clients to generate commercial revenue. The current commercial channels exist in these areas:
Event organisation and sponsorship.
Sourcing delegates for events.
Work to stretching targets to ensure commercial revenue is maintained to an agreed level by the Company.
Contribute to and maintain a client management system.
Detailed logs of all contacts with clients and ensure notes are appended to reporting system.
Assist in the production and maintenance of on and off-line media as appropriate.
Provide detailed reports on a weekly basis to the Director and other senior management as required.
Manage client requirements through to production stage in conjunction with the production managers.
Represent the Company in a professional manner at internal and external events as required.
Provide assistance to the Managers & Directors on an ad hoc basis.
Develop good working relationships with all departments within the company.
Develop a thorough understanding of the sales process for client industries.
Identify additional sales opportunities for upselling the company services.
