To provide the Revenues and Benefits service with administration support in relation to the incoming and outgoing post and scanning and indexing of post on to the council’s document management system.
THIS IS A HIGH VOLUME POSTAL ROLE.
Dimensions of Job
• Opening post • Internal distribution of post. • Collection of outgoing post and dealing with franking and administration. • Photocopying of precious documents and returning of these documents by secure post. • Scanning and indexing of documents on council document management system • General administration for the Revenues and Benefits teams. • To open the post and ensure the post is distributed to the appropriate team or member of staff within the council. • To photocopy precious documents received for processing benefits claim and returned by recorded delivery and record the documents which have been returned. • To scan post received on to the council’s document system and index to appropriate reference number and document type. • To collect outgoing post and to frank post and record outgoing post as required • To provide a administration support to revenues and benefits service. • Such other duties commensurate with grade as may be required from time to time. Work in an internal and external customer related way in accordance with adopted procedures and good practice.
