Our Client is a leading wholesale distribution company who require a strategic thinking marketing professional, to join their small team which is likely to expand. They are a large player within their industry enjoying a Group turnover of £330m.
The Purpose
To deliver consistent and joined up messaging to all Internal and External Stakeholders To devise and deliver Communications plans across the company and whole Group. Principal roles Development, planning and delivery of Public Relations communications for the Group Development, planning and delivery of Public Relations communications for the business. Development, planning and delivery of Internal Employee communications for the business. Control, planning and execution of Dealer Communications for the business. Planning and implementation of company events with Brilliant Partners, Dealer Groups and Vendors
Specific Responsibilities
Deliver a Review and subsequent planning and co-ordination of our current and future communication requirements (based on our stakeholders needs), across the organisation in-line with our Business Plan. Drive proactive awareness of the business through all media channels. Develop pipeline of news stories. Develop a pipeline of case studies and testimonials that sell the company proposition.
Creation of press releases to support our strategic approach and sales plan. Forge and maintain key relationships with external stakeholders such as Industry journalists, BOSS Federation and supported charities. Develop and deliver External communications including: Trading Updates (Price File Updates, Seasonal Closures, Business Updates, Stocktake notice, Process/Distribution Changes Crisis Communications (Systems issues, Distribution issues) Charitable support Events & Online Presence Management of the companies represented events, including all Dealer Group events, Brilliant Partner and Dealer Forums, and Roadshows Responsible for the constant refreshment and updating of websites with relevant content and stories. Development of content for the 5Starwebsite re-launch. Working with team to constantly improve the online experience. Develop and co-ordinate a proactive social and digital media strategy for Spicers, targeting Dealers, End Users, Employees and Vendors. Managing all social media accounts. Develop and deliver Internal Employee communications including; ·Employee Engagement (CEO Updates, Quarterly Updates, Announcements, Employee Forum, Intranet) Crisis Communications (Systems issues, Distribution issues) Briefings (Staff Briefings, Project Launches Corporate Communications (Business cards, Letterheads) Management Measure impact and monitor progress across all communications. Performance reported to the Board Updates to the SMLT on a monthly basis on the forthcoming Communications Plan Manage the budget relating to the above areas of work.
Hours: 9am - 5pm
Monday Friday with half an hour for lunch
