Our client, a leader supplier of software and system solutions to both the UK and Europe are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Executive to join them on a permanent basis from their office on the outskirts of Cambridge. The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business for the company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Planning and prioritising sales activities and prospect contacts, in order to achieve agreed sales and new business targets. • Securing sales appointments. • Developing new accounts by identifying prospects. • Building rapport and maximising sales opportunities on an on-going basis. • Carrying out sales presentations on site to demonstrate the software available. • Staying aware at all times of industry and market developments and the potential opportunities available to target. • Attending annual exhibitions and client dinners. • Liaising with internal sales support to ensure that all sales activity is followed up appropriately. • Identifying potential upgrade paths for accounts. • Attendance at key regional /national events/conferences/ to support customers and build relationships. • Responsible for identifying customer issues identified and feedback to appropriate internal function for resolution.
This is an environment whereby once the software is sold it is passed over to project managers and helpdesk, hence the role is predominantly new business NOT account management.
Essential skills & experience:
• Minimum 3 years sales experience. • Understanding of IT systems and software. • This position would ideally suit candidates from the motor industry centered on software/technical. • Must have a full UK driving licence.
