Our client is a leading UK supply industry trade body, who seek a new person to join its management team. This role presents an opportunity to manage the firms finance requirements in a range of key areas to meet the Governance requirements of the company’s Board and management team.
This is an exciting career opportunity for someone with experience of a similar accountancy role and is used to having a number of key areas of responsibilities.
To take full responsibility of the finance operations of both the company and the company’s Services. This involves a number roles including the production of management accounts, implementing the budget process, management of the sales and purchase invoice staff, liaison with the finance auditors etc.
Also involved is some supplier management including our banks, auditors and investment house.
To report to the Chief Operating Office and also to have liaison with the Chief Executive and Treasurer.

JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY
• Full responsibility of the financial operations of both the company and Services
• Production of the company’s Management Accounts
• Leading the budget process for both organisations
• Data input and analysis
• Other areas include payroll, HMRC, subscription invoicing, cash flow report etc
• Manage the finance function that involves a small team of staff
• Liaison with suppliers i.e. banks, auditors and investment house etc
• Reporting to key management staff
• Part of the company team including the executives and administration staff
• Meeting the needs of good financial governance and UK law
• Meeting the needs of the members and stakeholders

• To provide a professional services in all areas of the job description
• To act in the interests of the company at all times

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
• Accountancy qualification to meet the needs of the role
• Relevant IT skills to include database management
• Good written and presentation skills
• Relevant experience of staff management
• Good interpersonal skills

OTHER KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
• Directly reporting to Chief Operating Officer
• Chief Executive and company Treasurer
• Company executives and administration staff
• Management of key finance suppliers
• Some contact with the company’s members
