Description:Our client

Our client manages the Brands within a comprehensive network of specialist retailers which include high end department stores, specialist online retailers, independents as well as other select channels both directly and through buying groups.

The emphasis is on developing and managing brands.

Our client have an unrivalled reputation within the industry for working with premium brands and developing them appropriately.

They fulfil the immediate needs of their retail partners as well as directly to their customers if necessary, offering 24hr delivery on all products as standard.



Our client has a product/customer focused sales team who cover the UK and Northern Ireland who are able to identify and support the varying and increasing needs of our customer base and retail stores.


So, what is our client looking for?

The person must have previous administration experience and have strong IT skills and confident using Microsoft Office programmes including Excel. Additionally, they must be able to communicate clearly, effectively and politely both in writing and verbally with a variety of stakeholders (clients, suppliers, staff, senior management etc). Extremely organised and able to work well independently as well as in a team.

We have a settled and experienced team here and it would be good to bring in an enthusiastic, energetic individual who could bring fresh ideas and have experience in other areas such as Marketing, Social Media, Internal Sales and IT based order processing systems (which we may look to incorporate In future).


As a business, we are keen to invest in the right people and will offer training (in house and external) if required.

This person will receive product training to ensure they are knowledgeable on the brands and products we currently sell.

Key Duties:

• Order taking and processing over the phone
• Dealing with routine enquiries from customers, suppliers and a wide range of colleagues demonstrating excellent communication verbal or written.
• Take messages and convey information as required acting appropriately at all times.
• Recognise and escalate issues which you cannot deal with to the most relevant person, in a timely manner ensuring compliance with standards set for customer contact to ensure customer queries are dealt with effectively and closed satisfactorily.
• Using MS Excel/PowerPoint compile data and produce reports, spreadsheets and graphs to represent data (experience in the area would be good but not compulsory)
• Using our internal order system (Datafile) raise purchase orders as directed, for supply of goods, ensuring receipt and adherence to agreed purchasing systems and procedures. Support the business with Datafile input and key administration tasks e.g. invoicing
• Support the Commercial Manager, sales team and other members of the team when required.
• Potential to take control of company trade website and ensure content, information, promotions and latest news are updated regularly

Required skills/experience:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Energy and enthusiasm
• IT literate, experience using Microsoft Office
• Good organisation and punctuality
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
• A great team player
• A desire to show initiative
• Experience working within a fast paced customer service/administration role.
• Conscientious, precise and thorough approach to work
• Good attention to detail
• Analytical and confident with numbers
• Ability to stay calm under pressure

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Previous internal sales/account management experience
• Marketing/social media/digital media experience
• Proficient use of Excel and ability to compile reports and analysis


Package (benefits offered after 3 months probationary period)

• Basic Salary - £23-25K dependant on experience.


• Working Hours – Mon-Fri 9am-5pm with half an hour for lunch included
• Profit Share.

This role is eligible for Profit Share which has historically has culminated in a large percentage of one’s salary. This is based on the performance of the business only not the Group.
• All staff new to the business would start on 20 days holiday but this is negotiable.
• Company Pension Scheme – This includes Life Cover as standard (up to 3 times salary plus 30% salary paid as a pension to a spouse/partner) Company will contribute up to 6%.
