| Description: | We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to be responsible for the Company’s Accounts Payable Ledger and supervising a team of 3 Accounts Payable staff within the Company’s finance department. The ideal candidate should be experienced in dealing with high volumes of transactions and working to agreed deadlines and targets.
Key Purpose of the Job:
• To oversee the day to day processing within the purchase ledger department. Including coding, matching and batching of invoices, posting invoices to the ledger and passing to the appropriate person for authorisation
• Manage the workflow within a team of bright, enthusiastic ledger clerks
• Manage the forecasting and processing of weekly BACS payment runs along with ad hoc payments.
• Monitoring corporate credit card transactions and taking ownership of the monthly reconciliations
• Ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely manner and escalated to the appropriate heads of departments and Directors where necessary
• To manage the daily controls to ensure all bank postings are reconciled, purchase ledger control accounts and petty cash floats agree
• Ensuring the month-end close-off is adhered to within set deadlines, making sure all statement reconciliations are processed and the appropriate accruals are identified.
Key Skills:
• Sage and Microsoft Dynamics Experience an Advantage
• Excellent Excel skills
• Numerate and excellent attention to detail
• Good communicator both verbally and via email both internally and externally
