An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Accountant to develop the growing Accounting function, reporting to the Head of Finance who is based in Norway. The key purpose of this role is to take full responsibility for the entire in-house accounts function within the UK to ensure we can make informed, sound commercial decisions.
Our client, a brand in Europe, opened offices in the UK a couple of years ago and are on the cusp of a huge expansion plan in Peterborough so its a chance to make your mark on the ground floor.
They would ideally would like someone with Navision experience to be able to take on the role with minimal training. However, please be aware that you will periodically be expected to visit HQ in Norway.
Key Responsibilities to include:
• Management of the purchase and sale ledger
• Account reconciliation
• VAT return
• Posting and reconciling intercompany transactions
• Credit control management
• Managing fixed asset register
• Navision experience
• Payroll experience
• Expenses and Petty cash
• Preparing monthly / weekly reports for head office
The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years Accounts experience. Our client is looking for applications from candidates who will be confident in their ability to play a pivotal part in the growth of this department, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Key experience essential for the role:
CIMA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT qualified
Proven experience within the entire Accounts function
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
