| Description: | Our St Neots based client are currently seeking an experienced buyer within an engineering environment. Duties will include the following:
• Raising and sending purchase orders, including raising works orders for sub-contract items
• Entering order acknowledgements onto the system
• Maintaining the system in terms of information pertaining to suppliers and items
• Working with goods inwards to ensure items are booked in correctly
• Working with sales and operations to progress items as required
• Office filing
• Controlling movements of the company’s van for collections and deliveries
• Rejecting items on purchase orders and progressing replacement items or credit notes, as applicable
• Providing any component/ item quotes or costs to sales and engineering as required
• Ensure that the company’s governance policy is consistently applied across the department
• As well as any other reasonable duties that may be asked of you from time to time.
Candidates will have Buying experience ideally within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
