Qualified Accountant £25000 - £35000 +
To provide senior level accounting support to a variety of clients and to supervise junior staff.
Responsible to Partners and senior group manager
Key responsibilities
1. Undertaking audit work for limited companies and other specialised entities.
2. To prepare annual statutory accounts for limited companies, based on manual and computerised records maintained by clients.
3. Preparation of business and corporation tax computations based on the annual accounts.
4. Reporting to group manager or partner with work undertaken and dealing with ad-hoc work as may arise.
5. Speaking with and meeting clients to resolve queries that may arise.
6. Maintaining your own technical skills.
7. Working with other team members on larger jobs and supervision and review of work by junior staff.
Skills required
1. Proven ability to provide a quality accounting service to clients.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to work both on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
4. Ability to work to strict deadlines.
5. Good computer skills including Microsoft Office. Experience of accounting packages for example Sage Line 50 also beneficial.
6. Willingness to travel, ideally with your own transport, in the Greater Peterborough area, and occasionally further afield.
