Our Peterborough based client is a charitable company who specialise in Exporting and importing for international trade. They are looking for an all-round Administrator who has that little extra to give and is determined in everything they do.
This is an administrative role whose main function is to be a leader in the Business Services Team whilst providing support across all aspects of the business to ensure the smooth running of the office. Some of your duties will include:
• Ensure that all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to and that the requirements and responsibilities thereof are effectively communicated across the function • To act as an ambassador for the function and the organisation in terms of diligent and ethical conduct and performance • To embrace and effectively manage a culture of change across the organisation • To embrace and effectively adopt a solutions culture to problem solving across the organisation • To communicate in an articulate, professional and informed manner across all levels of the business, both internally and externally • To maintain the integrity of the business through the accurate and timely recording of all relevant data • Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with a changing environment and a proactive business function • This is a stepping stone role with the view to developing into an executive assistant should the position arise within 9 to 12 months. Duties/Responsibilities
• Set an example in implementing and seeking to improve organisational processes, workflows and data management • Support the Education and Membership services Teams in an administrative capacity with a particular focus on timely and accurate raising and recording of invoices, payments and other CRM data. • Support the Communications Team to ensure that the needs of internal and external stakeholders are met effectively across a range of media • Support all areas of the business to answer telephone enquiries and provide general administrative support • Attend internal and external industry events and workshops, acting as an ambassador of the organisation • Work collaboratively with all areas of the business to ensure that the business maximises opportunities across the full range of its products and services • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism associated with an external facing role • Take a lead in Health and Safety management
Qualifications/education required: • Basic level of education required to CGSE standard Maths & English • A current and continuing knowledge of the landscape in which the business operates
Competencies required: • Microsoft Office suite • Microsoft Outlook Email package • Microsoft Dynamics CRM • Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) • Experience of CMS • The post holder will be expected to undertake necessary training and qualifications to maintain currency within the International Trade arena
Any particular aptitude/skill required: • Good telephone manner • Team player • Ability to be flexible with time • Trusted to work on own initiative • Articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent planning skills • Excellent eye for detail and analytical skills • Experience of communication with all levels/stakeholders • Supervisory Experience • Health and Safety management/representative experience
