Business Development Executive (Graduate + 4 years exp) – Higham Ferrers - £20,000 plus - Perm Our client are currently looking for an ambitious and highly capable professional to join their head office in Higham Ferrers as a Business Development Executive, who should be a university graduate with up to four years of industry experience. Reporting directly to the Chairman and senior board, they will be an accomplished copywriter and communicator with the ability to support business growth through a combination of effective brand positioning, the development of new and existing client relationships, and traditional, digital, and social media communications. The nature of the role requires a personable individual who is able to build strong internal and external partnerships to bolster the firm’s continued growth. The Business Development Executive will oversee a Marketing Assistant and will have overarching responsibility for the creation and maintenance of all marketing collaterals and client-facing documentation, ensuring that all communications made by the firm are in line with its ethos and corporate identity. An interest in current affairs is a must, as the job includes the need to respond quickly to national and international developments that affect our industry or the wider business community through the publication of opinion pieces, short quotations, and news releases. They will also manage the retained PR company and have a close relationship with the web designers, with core responsibility for updating content on the company’s website and suggesting ideas for its improvement. The chosen individual will have a key role in implementing the business strategy and in securing new client relationships by undertaking targeted market research and lead generation, supported by the Marketing Assistant. Opportunities for new professional relationships will be explored through organising, attending, and following up introductory meetings in conjunction with the senior management team. They will also be responsible for planning and managing several corporate hospitality events throughout the year, which will demand a keen eye for detail and the ability to anticipate needs. The successful candidate will hold an honours undergraduate or master’s degree in a relevant subject, whether biased towards business, English language, marketing, or politics. If the chosen applicant has not yet studied for a master’s degree, there will be an opportunity to do so fully sponsored by the company. Although based in Higham Ferrers, the role spans each of our regional offices and the individual will therefore need to be able to drive.
