Working nationwide, our client help UK businesses comply with health and safety regulations and insurance requirements by providing specialist compliance solutions across a wide array of electrical inspection and electrical testing services including follow on repairs and minor installation works. In addition, the company provide specialist associated services such as Fire Alarm servicing, Lightning Protection testing etc.
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for putting costs together from first principles, electrical test reports, subcontractor proposals for issue to the sales team in order to provide quotations across key customer types such as local authorities, housing associations, NHS, education and commercial organisations.
The position requires a high level of communication with the company sales team members, engineering department and planning department as well as with approved subcontractors, suppliers and certain manufacturers.
Candidates are likely to possess:
· Maths & English GCSE / O Level or equivalent · High standard of written and verbal communications · Working knowledge of Microsoft applications · Ability to work under pressure · Ability to review contract documentation and to prepare tender bids. · Proven ability to manage time efficiently
In addition, the candidate will have spent time previously in an estimating role either full time or as part of a function.
Ideally they will have some hands on experience of electrical installation or similar trade background.
Salary/Rate: £15,000 - £20,000
