Our Well known client in Peterborough is currently seeking a Demand Planner / Analyst to join their logistics department. The purpose of the role is to manage the current and future demand, whilst using analytical reasoning to support decisions made and actions put in place. Duties will include:
• Generation & maintenance of model level business forecast • Monitor Sales promotions, analysis of actual sales volumes vs projected • Liase with Production Planners to edit factory build quantities, based on discussion and agreement with Sales • In partnership with Marketing & Commercial, Management of the Phase In/Phase Out product plans • To identify and provide analysis on forecast error • Support analysis of Risk Stock performance. Monitor of new SKUs & achievement of commercial team on sell through • Customer collaboration
Key Result Areas
• Stock availability • Monitor of the stock situation, production plan, orders to date, despatches to date throughout the month. Liase with Sales and/or Production when any issues arise *Sales volumes under budget (at total & Customer level) *Sales volumes under/over forecast (at SKU level) *No available stock to cover current orders *No planned production to fulfill current/forecast orders • To provide the link between Sales, Marketing & Production on sales promotions. *Confirm dates of available production *analysis of actual sales volumes vs projected • Provide analysis on forecast error, with the aim to increase forecast accuracy (working to agreed accuracy %s) • Management of the Phase in /Phase Out plans, to ensure a smooth transition. New model available to specified dates, stock holding of old model within agreed levels
Knowledge • Demand or Supply Chain Management experience strongly preferred • SAP knowledge desirable
