Office Administrator , £16,000p.a. - £18,000 p.a.
Family owned construction company based just outside of Godmanchester.You would form part of quite a small team of personnel where everyone does have a defined role and focus, however it is essential that everyone mucks in and helps out.
The duties comprise:
As a small business it is very important coming out the recession that they manage the cash flow situation. Which means looking prophetically at the ledgers and working out what you can pay when, dependant on what you have coming in! They have the orders but cash flow is key and so your communication with the owner on this front will form an integral part of the role.
• Offices attached to a private residence in the countryside, the office environment is very spacious, light and modern with lovely views out into the country from all sides. • Purchase Ledger • Sales Ledger and credit control. The relationships they have with their suppliers go over many many years which is always positive in that there is good understanding. • Occasionally receiving guests into the open plan offices. • General office admin duties. • Dealing with timesheets and invoices from the sub-contractors in order to complete BACS payments once a month. The sub-contractors whilst self-employed have worked for the company over many years hence they know the business etc. • Dealing with client, supplier and colleagues enquiries. • Filing, • Purchasing stationary. • Dealing with company insurances.
Obviously spacious free parking and good kitchen facilities. Based outside of Godmanchester a car would be essential.
Hours: 9am – 4pm.
