Raw Material Planning Team Manager – Peterborough - £35,000 - £40,000 pa
To create a highly effective Raw Material Planning Team with accountability for the timely and cost effective supply of raw materials into manufacturing sites. Alongside the delivery of a change programme to overhaul systems, processes and communication with sites. Increasing skills and capabilities within the team and delivering a significant reduction in distribution and third party rental costs.

Overall accountability for the Raw Material Planning team, with responsibility for planning the supply of raw materials into manufacturing sites Establish and achieve Raw Material Planning standards and key performance indicators to bring exceptional service to the manufacturing sites, internal and external stakeholders Provide leadership, direction and support to create an engaged, high performing customer focussed team, inspiring direct reports to take and achieve their full potential Manage the day-to-day activities of the team, which includes managing workload, planning resources, coaching and training, setting priorities and stepping in to provide additional support when necessary Working closely with procurement, establish service level agreements and robust processes with suppliers and hauliers to attain the highest level of delivery performance Comply with HR procedures, Health and Safety legislation, quality assurance schemes and environmental law and policy Skills & experience Proven experience in change management and driving team and process improvement, delivering significant commercial benefit Strong understanding of material scheduling and inventory management, with limited on-site storage capacity, preferably within a batch production environment Proven experience in change management and driving team and process improvement Strong understanding of material scheduling and inventory management, with limited on-site storage capacity, preferably within a batch production environment Strong analytical skills with a pedigree of driving process improvement and change management to deliver the highest possible level of service performance A high degree of systems and spread sheet capability with a proven ability to identify and implement systems based solutions An proven ability to manage direct reports, and create highly performing and engaged teams Knowledge of GAFTA & AIC Commodity Contract Terms Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, quality assurance standards and environmental legislation
