Transport and Customs Team Leader – Reigate, Surrey - £27,732 - £29,272 pa
To manage the day-to-day operational processes, activities and service levels of the Transport & Customs team

To provide support, coaching and development for Supply Chain Order Management staff.
Achieve Company, department, team and personal objectives and KPIs. Responsibilities and Tasks
Assist Head of OM & T & C in implementing the individual and team priorities as defined by the newly-formed matrix of responsibilities, Pro-actively manage day to day operational processes and issues, escalating to the Head of OM, T & C where appropriate Pro-actively build and manage relationships with key suppliers and customers Act as the first point of escalation for customer queries related to the Contact Centre and management of our logistics partners in resolving those queries, escalating to the Head of OM, T & C where appropriate Act as the first point of escalation with queries and issues relating to the handling of Insurance claims raised as a result of damage to products Act as the initial point of escalation with queries and issues relating to the handling of procurement issues and subsequent invoicing, Work with OM Team Leaders and key internal stakeholders to achieve E2E SLA targets for BIG, CIG & PPG, escalating to the Head of OM, T & C where appropriate Ensure T & C staff have adequate training and skills to perform efficiently and achieve SLAs Supervise, motivate and develop a team of T & C staff to include desk accompaniments and ongoing development plans, reviewing progress with the Head of OM, T & C where appropriate, carry out performance reviews. Identify productivity and efficiency opportunities to facilitate more effective ways of working, Prioritise team activities and workload ensuring maximum utilisation of time and benefit. Protect the business in line with Company policies and procedures. Work with team to help ensure regulatory requirements are met for imports and exports for CUK & I, including meeting HMRC reporting requirements Work with the team to help ensure our Ireland Intrastat details are declared on a timely basis each month to Irish Customs Regularly communicate with OM Team Leaders, Supply Chain Managers and other key internal stakeholders to keep them abreast of business in the T & C area Ensure that all business processes within the team are documented, updated and understood Pro-actively build relationships with suppliers and partners through attending meetings, events and by maintaining regular contact. Within the direction of the Head of OM, T & C, help build relationships with other support functions to facilitate the achievement of department objectives
Candidate Requirements:
Industry related qualifications an advantage
