Strategic Supply Chain (ASM3027/CT/FTC – 12 – 18months fixed term contract - £30,000 - £40,000 pa
An excellent opportunity has arisen for 12/18 months to join the Supply Chain Management Team based in Peterborough as a Supply Chain Specialist.
You will ensure the cost effective procurements of all goods, equipment, materials and services as required by the company.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Lead Business Partner, you will lead in creating, developing, managing and delivering strategic procurement strategies for your defined capital project(s).
You will also deliver and be responsible for any identified or associated targets and benefits for the project.
In order to be successful you will ideally be educated to degree level in either Procurement or Business studies.
You will ideally be CIPS qualified or at level 4.
In addition to formal qualifications you will be expected to demonstrate a wide variety of skills including good business and commercial awareness, financial management, a flair for communication, negotiation, creativity and innovation.
You will be able to demonstrate the capability to lead and deliver sourcing projects with a track record of delivering best value procurement solutions to time, quality and best value. You will also be confident in developing and managing relationships in a collaborative environment.
You will have exceptional organisational skills to manage your own project plan with strong IT skills, ideally Office 2010.
Above all you will have an up-beat personality with the ability and confidence to manage a regulated process and have good attention to detail.
