Analytical Stock Controller £22,000 - £27,000 p.a.
Our client is currently looking for an Analytical Stock Controller to join their leading business based in St Ives.
Duties include:
• Action all invoice queries on PIMs • Ensure the AX Computer system is fully up to date on a day to day basis. • Review SIC levels and the data for these to ensure correct and up to date • Carry out projects with regards to Stock Reduction, order quantities and supplier chain management • Complete NCRs as required and report to Line Manager • Liaise with the Management Team on any issues • Be proactive in stock checking/ stock comparisons against AX reports to ensure that levels do not put production into difficulties • Analysis AX reports on a daily basis to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner • Analysis Stock take findings and carry out investigations with the Purchase Administrator as required • Be able to cover Purchase Administrator Job Roles and Responsibilities during holidays or absence when requested • Be able to cover other parts of the Administration roles as required during periods of absence • Source suppliers as required for new items/ special requested items • Work with the Projects Manager to source items required • Raise Purchase Orders as required • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best deal is obtained for items required • Accepting and issuing of deliveries to site • Work with the Kardex system • Collate and update the information for energy KPIs as required on e -sight • Ensure that the required number of stocktakes are carried out on the required frequency and are investigated as required
The desired candidate must also have: • Experience of stock control procedures and computerised systems • An understanding of SIC / Kan Ban / JIT and Vendor Managed Inventory system • An understanding of manufacturing/engineering parts • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment • Extensive knowledge of Excel and Word • Good Administration skills, and ability to prioritise workload. • Ability to adapt and implement procedures and methods of stock counting and control • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure • You must have good written and verbal communication skills. • Experience of stock control procedures and computerised ERP systems (Microsoft A) • Previous experience of having direct reports • Ability to adapt and implement procedures and methods of stock counting and control • Ability to communicate with Suppliers and Group Procurement effectively • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Stores / Purchasing / Materials Control function • Achieved or working towards a yellow belt Six Sigma qualification • Achieved or working towards a Materials Stock Control qualification
