Quality Control Operator (Bourne) - £7.50 ph

Facilitate the day to day running of the QC inspection process for the company.

QC Testing and Pre-shipments
Plan daily goods inwards QC inspection programmes from the company warehouse arrival profile.
Sampling, inspection and testing of inbound product.
Generate Quality Alerts for non-conforming product under the supervision of the QA and Regulatory affairs co-ordinator.
Report on all container damages, including photographic evidence, where a safety incident may have occurred through incorrect container stuffing or through water damage.

Collate and dispatch sample requests as requested by customer services and departmental managers.

To conduct QC evaluation of customer returns, recommending product status and guidance for rejection, re-work or return to stock.
To conduct QC evaluation of product complaint forwarded by customer services and departmental managers.
To forward justified product complaint samples to the QA and Regulatory Affairs Co-ordinator for return to the supplier.

To assist in the administration and reporting of QC and Logistics data as advised by the Logistics and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
To assist in the quarterly stock takes at the Bourne warehouse as directed by the Logistics Manager

To conduct product trials / evaluation to support new product / supplier development as instructed by the QA and Regulatory Affairs Manager

Responsible for the Apprentice QC Operator (planning and organising daily work schedule)
Responsible for calibration of QC testing equipment
Responsible for the organisation of the maintenance of the pulp macerator

Aim to evaluate product returns within 48 hours of notification by the warehouse returns operator.
Aim for all QC inspections to be conducted within 24 hours of goods receipt.
Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order
Ensure samples are despatched within 24 hours of request
